The Ugandan families love their sponsors so very much. Sponsors help provide for their physical needs and spiritual needs. Part of being sponsored is the attendance of a Bible study each week. Here they are taught the Word of God. Every Thursday the men and women in Bunga-Love project gather together to pray, praise, and be taught God’s word. Currently they are studying 1 John. The women are taught by a woman named Olivia and the men are taught by two men, Geofry and George William. What a wonderful way to be involved in sharing and spreading the Gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ.

Bunga is a place where many have never felt love their whole lives. They’ve been betrayed, abandoned, lied to, taken advantage of, and many have never known the love of man or the love of God.

By the faithfulness of their giving, a sponsor shows a man or woman in Bunga Village that they are thought of, that they are cared for, that they are loved by helping care for their physical needs. By being sponsored, the men and women are part of a  Bible study that teaches them about God and His love. It’s a win-win, both the physical and the spiritual are being taken care of. . . the needs for both this present life and the life to come. Can you imagine what that must feel like to one who has never known love?

One woman in Bunga Village named Edith told me, “I never had any hope of being loved until I got a sponsor.”
